William Katts, Managing Director
William L. Katts was an OSJ officer and manager of the AMEX floor for Shoreline Trading Group. Mr. Katts previously was the managing member of Easton Trading Group, a derivatives trading firm. Prior to managing Easton Trading Group, Mr. Katts helped launch and co-manage The Tiberius Fund, which grew to over 100 million assets under management. Mr. Katts began his career on Wall St. as an American Stock Exchange specialist and risk manager. Mr. Katts background as a manager, trader and in customer execution gives him extensive experience in the financial industry. Mr. Katts holds the NASD series 7, 24, 63 licenses.
Lance Baraker, Managing Director
Lance was co-head of business development at Shoreline Trading Group in New York. He joined Shoreline in 2004 and was instrumental in building up their Prime Brokerage business. Lance graduated in 1993 from Lehigh University with a degree in Finance and received his MBA and Certificate in International Business from Fordham University in 1997. His trading career began with Timber Hill, making markets in Equity and Index Options on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. Through a JBO with Spear, Leeds & Kellogg he became a partner in El Lobo Trading Group. Lance holds a series 3, 7 and 63.
Kevin Tingley, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As CEO of Saratoga Capital, Mr. Tingley is in charge of all institutional trading in listed, over-the-counter, and bulletin board equities. Prior to Saratoga, Mr. Tingley held senior positions in the equity trading operations of both Goldman Sachs and Deutsch Bank. He brings extensive industry expertise as an OTC market maker, listed block trader, NYSE floor broker, and institutional sales trader. Mr. Tingley has a business degree from Tulane University, and holds the NASD Series 3, 7, 24, 55 and 63 licenses.
Thomas T. Halikias, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) & Risk Manager
Mr. Halikias has worked on Wall Street for over twenty years with a successful track record in structuring investment vehicles for corporations and individuals. Mr. Halikias’ experience includes the Susquehanna Investment Group, UBS, and New Chicago Fund of Funds. As a Managing Director of UBS Global Equity Derivatives group, Mr. Halikias evaluated a broad array of global market risks. Mr. Halikias is currently the Head of Business Development for Saratoga Capital, LLC. Saratoga Capital, LLC provides equity, options and futures execution for hedge fund clients. Mr. Halikias’ unique understanding of risk provides the foundation for Saratoga’s EM Funds sophisticated asset allocation and portfolio construction process.
Don Schneiders, Capital Introduction, Boston
Don Schneiders has more than 20 years of institutional investment experience marketing alternative investment products to pension funds and investment research to money managers. He has been active with hedge funds since 2000 when he worked as an in-house marketer with a start-up hedge fund in Boston. His efforts were instrumental in raising more than $100 million for the manager over the course of approximately one year. Since 2004, Mr. Schneiders has operated his own boutique capital introduction firm specializing in emerging and start-up hedge fund managers. His efforts have led to substantial allocations, including seed capital, to a number of hedge fund managers.
Alexis Graham, Co-Head of Capital Introduction
Mr. Graham specializes in raising seed and acceleration capital for early stage hedge fund managers. Mr. Graham has over 14 years of experience working in the hedge fund industry most recently as head of the capital raising program at VanthedgePoint Securities. Prior to starting ACG and joining Saratoga Prime, Mr. Graham’s experience includes helping build the hedge fund information company, HedgeWorld.com where he served as Managing Director of Sales, and developing their hedge fund capital raising practice. He also held positions at Optima Fund Management, a New York-based fund of hedge funds, and Gruss & Co as a merger arbitrage analyst. Mr. Graham graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts, and earned his MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Ian Tracy, Co-Head of Capital Introduction
Mr. Tracy specializes in raising seed and acceleration capital for early stage hedge fund managers. Prior to Acceleration Capital Group, Mr. Tracy worked as Senior Associate at VanthedgePoint Securities where he was responsible for building and implementing the Capital Introductions Program, orchestrating emerging hedge fund manager round table events and spearheading research initiatives Mr. Tracy started his career as a Practice Support Specialist at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He co-chairs the Junior Committee of Hearts for Hedge Funds Care, sits on the Junior Board for the Catholic Big Sisters and Big Brothers Organization, and sits on the Communications Committee for the St. Andrews Society of the State of New York, the oldest charitable society in the state of New York. Mr. Tracy received a B.A from Middlebury College in 2004.
Jim Bell, AMEX Floor Manager
Jim Bell joined Saratoga Prime in 2007. His versatility and professional experience compliment the multi-faceted services expected of a prime broker. Prior to joining Saratoga, Jim worked for Taylor Execution, a startup agency execution firm on the American Stock Exchange for three years. His efforts were focused primarily on equity, equity option, and ETF execution for institutional money managers and hedge funds. Previously he worked on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and earlier at SEI Investments where his career began as a representative in the mutual and hedge fund outsourcing services division, a position he would hold for four years. Jim earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola College in Maryland. He is currently a Member on the AMEX and holds his NASD Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
